Tried installing and running Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant for Office 365. Nearly all wanted to coach me through setting up a POP3 account. The errors tab says email server rejected login. When I select Test Account Settings from the POP and IMAP Account Settings box, the dialogue box says it gets logged into mail server, but can’t send test email. I don’t know why the mail icon in Control Panel says 2016. I am using Office Home & Business 2019 perpetual. Went to Control Panel, Mail (Microsoft Outlook 2016), email accounts, suddenlink configuration, Change, Change account window pops up. I can go to and log into the web version of the email server. It starts with the password prompt box now at startup of Outlook and continues until you exit Outlook Hitting OK will cause it to go away for 3-4 seconds. Opened Outlook today and worked for 4 hours no problem.
Password has not changed in the last year. Closed Outlook many times and opened again.
